The 2021 ITC International Insurance Conference aims to bring together international & local expertise from Academia, Government, the marketplace, civil society & Insurance Industry to deliberate on emerging risks and consequently devise innovative insurance solutions as one of the mitigation tools. Highlighting the extent/scope of some emerging risks, the challenges they pause and their impact on risk profiling.
The conference will be held on October 20th & 21st , 2021 with the theme “Innovative Insurance to mitigate emerging risks.”
The intention is to kick start an ongoing conversation in the Insurance industry that “it can’t be business as usual’’, the unrelenting drive to break the status quo and develop a new, where few have dared to go is driven by today’s agile and ever-changing Consumer who is faced with new risks on a daily that require unusual insurance response.
With a panel of both local and international experts from diverse fields, they shall borrow from best practices as they wage forward.
The ITC, as a champion of training & professionalism in the Insurance Industry continues to be committed to the growth and development of the Insurance Industry and will further this cause in the times to come.

Conference structure
It will have a 2 half days international conference for up to 100 participants from all over the world. Owing to the fact that Covid-19 is still a threat, the conference will be virtual and it will have a panel discussion to cover the four thematic areas;

Artificial intelligence and big data
Insurance response to emerging risks
These will be used to present the papers and map out the possibilities for what insurance practitioners can do. They will be delivered by known international & local experts.
The expected output is to derive measures to mitigate emerging risks using insurance as a tool.
The conference will be hosted by the Insurance Training College of Uganda.
