Buvuma to Buikwe made easy
The new Kiyindi-Buvuma ferry was launched last Friday to connect Buikwe mainland to Buvuma Islands on Lake Victoria.
MV Buvuma which has the seating capacity of over 300 passengers and 12 normal sized vehicles (6 trucks) was launched on the islands after its official maiden journey from Kiyindi.
The function was graced by Hon. Gen. Edward Katumba Wamala, the Minister of Works and Transport, Hon. Jachan Omach, the UNRA Board chairperson, Mrs. Allen Kagina, the UNRA Executive Director, and the leaders of Buvuma and Buikwe districts.
