Horeb recognized as best labor externalization company

Horeb Recruitment Services Executive Director Ezra Mugisha and team receive the accolade .

In a recent ceremony at Speke Resort in Munyonyo, Horeb Recruitment Services was honored as Uganda’s leading labor externalization company, holding a license from the Ministry of Gender and Labour.

The executive director, Ezra Mugisha, expressed gratitude to Ugandans for trusting Horeb as the premier company in labor externalization.

Mugisha extended his appreciation to President Yoweri Museveni for providing Ugandans with opportunities to seek employment abroad and for streamlining the process of labor externalization, which has significantly improved the livelihoods of many and their families.

One distinguishing feature highlighted by Mugisha is Horeb Recruitment Services’ commitment to the well-being of Ugandans working in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The company conducts check-ups every three months, ensuring a unique and reliable labor exportation service. This is particularly significant as numerous Ugandans often raise concerns about mistreatment and poor working conditions while employed abroad.

Minister Bahati, the guest of honor at the event, took the opportunity to encourage Ugandans to prioritize buying locally produced goods. The Minister of State for Trade, Industry, and Cooperatives emphasized that supporting local industries through purchasing domestically manufactured products would contribute to job creation and economic growth.

Bahati expressed satisfaction with the capacity of local companies to produce goods that were previously imported, aligning with President Museveni’s vision of import substitution and export promotion. He asserted that the country’s rapid growth would be facilitated by the active participation of Ugandan companies in these strategies.

The People’s Choice Quality Awards recognized various companies and individuals for excellence in different sectors, with winners chosen by Ugandans themselves.

In the personal care products category, Movit Products Limited emerged as the overall winner, while Muhammad Kamoga of Kamoga Property Consultant Limited received the award for the best real estate developer.

Reckitt dominated this year’s People’s Choice Awards in Kampala, securing four awards for its brands—Dettol, Harpic, Mortein, and Jik.

Mohammad Ali Tariq, Reckitt’s Country Manager, expressed gratitude for the platform to celebrate brands impacting Ugandan lives. Emphasizing their purpose to protect, heal, and nurture for a cleaner and healthier world, Tariq highlighted the commitment to making health and hygiene solutions accessible to all. The goal is to build a cleaner, healthier world through initiatives from Dettol, Harpic, Mortein, and Jik in the coming years.

The People’s Choice Awards, initiated in 2009, celebrate business excellence in Uganda through an annual recognition process.

These awards are based on comprehensive statistical research, including surveys among consumers, input from the business community, and information from national regulatory bodies.

The accolades aim to honor outstanding businesses and promote a culture of excellence within the country. The selection process involves extensive data tracking methods and analysis conducted nationwide.
