Kampala: After the launch of Aquafina by the Crown Beverages Limited last year, the product has hit the ground and supplied countrywide.
Aquafina is available in a 500ml pack at a recommended retail price of One Thousand Uganda Shillings (1000 UGX) only, countrywide.

The world class quality brand is expertly processed ensuring only the essential elements and minerals remain, resulting in a clear, pure & perfect tasting water. Aquafina was first launched in the USA in 1994. Over the last two decades it has expanded into Asia, UAE, and most recently Africa.
Last November, the launch event was held at the Crown Beverages Limited Plant in Kakungulu, Sisa. The press launch was hosted by the Chairman of Crown Beverages Limited, Mr Amos Nzeyi and among those invited were various corporate partners as well as guests from the media fraternity. Speaking during the launch, Mr. Amos Nzeyi said that Aquafina is a whole different product and is a notch higher than the existing brands in the market and consumers will like it.
“We (Crown Beverages) have been registering achievements…we have won so many prizes for quality and cleanliness, as you see this place is up to the standards of any water company in the world, be it in Europe, Asia, South Africa, America,” Nzeyi added.
The CEO of Crown Beverages Mr Paddy Muramiirah said Aquafina, the world class quality brand is expertly processed ensuring only the essential elements and minerals remain, resulting in a clear, pure & perfect tasting water.
“As a country in Africa, we are going to be the third following Nigeria and Egypt which was the first one to launch the international water brand. It’s not an easy water to make, previously, we qualified to make the CSD’s (Carbonated soft drinks) but didn’t qualify to make Aquafina. Aquafina is made in a way that there must be assurances that it is a high-quality water” he said.
There was a plant tour of the Kakungulu site as well as a viewing of the Aquafina production line in action. The guests were treated to a cocktail and light entertainment thereafter, and each received a sample of the product to take home with them.
