Rubis Energy Uganda Launches New Fuel Technology

French company Rubis Energy Uganda has launched Rubis UltraTec, its first advanced fuel technology on the Ugandan market. Rubis made entry into the Ugandan market in July by acquiring two fuel companies including Kobil and Delta.

On Tuesday, the company launched its advanced technology that they say is designed to improve vehicle engine cleanliness and performance with less while saving customers money.

“In addition to providing a reliable convenient network of fueling stations, a crucial part of this mission is to provide a high-quality fuel product that can not only improve the performance of our customers’ vehicles but save them money in doing so. Ultratec is now available in all Rubis, Kobil and Delta stations countrywide,” said Olivier Gatera, the Rubis Energy Uganda Managing Director.

He explained that in order to serve the diverse needs of their customers, their new advanced fuel technology will be available in the two fuel types of UltraTec Petrol and UltraTec Diesel and sold at no extra cost to customers.

“Providing UltraTec to our customers within the Rubis network is an important step in our commitment to meet all of the fueling and convenience needs of our customers. We are proud to offer our customers a high-quality, high-performance fuel product that will be beneficial to their vehicles and save them money.”

According to Rebecca Nassiwa, the Marketing Manager for Rubis Energy Uganda, whereas there are various engine technologies on the market today, each of them present challenges and need optimum performance from fuel.

“Rubis UltraTec thoroughly cleans the engine of dirt build-up, leading to improved power and acceleration with fewer emissions. It also improves fuel economy,” she said.

“UltraTec Diesel enhances maximum fuel combustion, prevents smoking and protects the vehicle against fuel system corrosion. It also has anti-foaming properties that ensure an actual full tank giving customers value for money.” she further elaborated.

The KCCA Executive Director, Dorothy Kisaka applauded the company for contributing to Uganda’s development.

“In the next 5 years, the government is investing heavily in infrastructure, and we need business people whose infrastructure match what the government is investing in. On behalf of KCCA, I encourage you to explore investment opportunities with local entrepreneurs, to develop skills and expertise that are essential in developing in our City, because you have, through your investment, provided many opportunities for the Ugandans,” she said.

“At KCCA, we have launched the smart KCCA campaign with three components around technology, infrastructure and people. So with the great advancement, we have in the new technology, let us use it for the benefit of our environment and City. We have had a fruitful relationship with the French government in different projects for example lighting the City, Kampala among others. therefore, I believe that we can have a fruitful relationship to solve some of the unresolved issues in our communities.”

Suzan Prada, the Chancellor in charge of economic affairs from the Embassy of France said that “Our recent visit was an opportunity to reaffirm the desire of France to have a strengthened economic partnership with Uganda. In addition to state-to-state cooperation, the construction of this strong economic partnership also involves investment and the presence of French companies in Uganda, willing to establish themselves permanently in Uganda and participate in economic growth, employment and the modernization of markets.”
