The President assured attendees that measures would be implemented to promote local industries, starting with imposing taxes on imported final and intermediate products.

Addressing the issue of corruption, President Museveni urged the business community to collaborate with the government in the fight against corruption, emphasizing its detrimental impact on national progress. The President’s call comes as part of ongoing efforts to create a conducive business environment for economic growth.
